I was so glad when Haley asked me to help her plan her wedding. We became instant friends and always had fun at our planning meetings. Haley and Rett's wedding day was a blast! With their huge wedding party, made up of family and friends, everybody was entertaining. Because the ceremony and reception both took place in The Ballroom at The Club, the day took some special planning. Thanks to the awesome staff at The Club, everything went smoothly! Allison Jansen Photography truly captured the beauty and elegance of this day. Carolyn Crowe and her daughters, of The Pink Pear, created the beautiful florals adorning all the guest tables and the traditional Jewish Chupah. They also did a wonderful job with the Bride and bridesmaid's bouquets, coordinating the pinks and purples to match the reception colors. The gorgeous cakes were designed by Diane Olexa of Olexa's- the brides cake was a traditional 5-tier buttercream with half layers in between and the groom's cake showed their passion for Crimson Tide Football. The guests partied all night to the awesome Mo'Sol (for real, they were awesome), with a small break to enjoy the fireworks show (so nicely provided by the couple who got married downstairs in the staterooms)! After the wedding, the couple left threw a tunnel of sparklers and hopped in the beautiful "Caroline" provided by Coats Classic Cars. Thank you Haley and Rett for letting Swanky Socials be a part of your special day!

Mary Katherine + Andrew 6.4.2011
Mary Katherine and Andrew's wedding day was a special one, especially for me. Mary Katherine is a cousin of mine and I got to spend the day with some sweet family. I was honored to be a part of their wedding. Their ceremony took place at The Church at Brook Hills with a reception following at Inverness Country Club. Thank you to Amber Ford Photography for these great photos and for a fun wedding day! I always love working with Amber and Charles. The florals were created by Michael's Fine Flowers, and the wedding cakes were done by Sweet Magnolia.
Meredith + Dale 5.1.2011
Meredith and Dale definitely have a story to tell about their wedding week. Four days before their wedding day, Alabama was hit hard by several tornadoes. One actually hit my neighborhood very badly and my power/internet/cable was out for several days. However, we were very lucky that The Sonnet House didn't have any damage and the wedding could go on. Thank you to David Shirk, with Unplugged Photography, for the amazing images capturing Meredith and Dale's special day. The wonderful Main Street Productions was there to film the special moments that the camera doesn't get. Kathy G. & Co. provided the tasty food- mostly light hors d'oeurves, for the afternoon wedding, and Dreamcakes created the beautiful cake and yummy cupcakes. The beautiful florals were done by the wonderful Carol Riley, of Lillies. It was a beautiful day, that first day of May, and I was so glad to share the day with Meredith and Dale.

Shaina + Courtney 4.2.11
Shaina and Courtney were married on April 2, 2011 at the beautiful Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The ceremony took place in the Hill Garden and the seated dinner reception was held in the Ireland Room. Wonderful images by Heather Hester Photography captured the true love that was joined in marriage that day. She also captured all the details meticulously crafted by Shaina and her artistic mother. Swanky Socials was there to ensure the day ran smoothly and all those details were covered. Cahaba River Strings entertained the guests as they enjoyed a wonderful meal provided by Echelon Catering. Pastry Art's cake and baby bites were divine as well. The beautiful tables were adorned with mercury glass and vases provided by the Bride filled with bright pink and white peonies and roses by Dorothy McDaniel.
