While I have been busy designing and putting together my booth for the PWG Bridal Market, I decided it would be a good topic for a blog post! I am really looking forward to this year's Bridal Market, and to meet new brides-to-be.February is definitely the month for bridal shows here in Birmingham. Here's the lineup planned for the following locations:
Feb 10- The Summit Club (Smaller show, but especially for you if you are considering that as your venue), 5-7 pm, tickets complimentary
Feb 13- Elegant Weddings at The Wynfrey Hotel (Larger show, and a good selection of vendors), 1-4 pm, $15 at door
Feb 20- The Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Market at Embassy Suites, hwy 150 (Large show, great selection of vendors--me, included-- and some special events going on), 1-4 pm, $15 at the door
Feb 20- Pelham Civic Complex ( Going to be a full day of talking weddings!), 12-5 pm, $5 for brides
So, there are many to choose from- or you can go to them all!
Like I said, I will be at the PWG Bridal Market, "A Runway Event", with many other awesome vendors. They will be featuring a continuous runway of gown and cocktail dresses throughout the entire event. How cool!
Why go to a bridal show, you ask? Well here are the main reasons:
- You will personally meet the vendor, and talk to them without having to set up that first appointment! Then afterwards, you have a better idea of who you would actually like to meet with .
-There will be tons of FOOD! You can taste all you want from the caterers that are there to see if the food meets your culinary expectations. Oh, and there is also CAKE!
-You will be able to see wedding gowns LIVE and IN PERSON, instead of on the rack or in a magazine. You may just see the gown of your dreams walking by on a live model!
-You also get to meet other brides and talk to them about their experiences and maybe what they know about certain vendors.
- You can get lots of great ideas from all the booths. Everyone will do their best to have on display some new, trendy ideas, or fun things to have at your wedding. Take notes!
