What can I do for you??

Many people have been asking me what it is exactly that I do.
First, I would like to say that my ultimate goal is that any of my 'packages' or services are completely customizable to what the client needs or wants. I am here to make everything easier on you, whether it is to enjoy your 6 month engagement or to relax and and have a good time at the party you have been looking forward to for your whole life!

There is absolutely no need for the bride or mother of the bride to have to deal with anything besides looking beautiful and enjoying their day! I am here to make sure everything runs seamlessly for your wedding weekend and that any little thing that might come up (because we all know that things happen...), will be promptly taken care of. It is almost impossible to go without a wedding coordinator these days. There are SO many details that need a lot of attention, and that is where I come in. I make sure that everyone is on schedule (vendors AND wedding party!) and that there is nothing to worry about, so that the bride and her family can enjoy this event they have been looking forward to!

During the planning process, I am here to handle all the little details that need to be covered. I take care of all correspondence between vendors and make sure everything is perfected in each contract. Many girls think they are able to take care of this part on their own, however if you are working or in school, it is sometimes difficult to take phone calls or emails that are necessary to the planning process. Sometimes there is wording in contracts the average person doesn't notice or understand, but to someone in the industry, it could mean a huge addition to the total price or something isn't included!!

I am here to make life easier for you, plain and simple. And as an added bonus, to give you suggestions and reminders that you haven't thought of yourself!

Wedding and Event planning can be very stressful to the average person. Don't let it be! Contact me at molly@swankysocials.com and let me help you!

Getting down to business...

It's official.... my business cards, stationary set, and website (well, almost) are complete! I am so thankful to everyone who has helped me get this far. I could not have done it on my own, that is for sure! I really never thought about all the emotional stress that goes into entrepreneurship, but it is something I never expected. On the other hand, I am more excited about my future than I ever have been before. I know I have the support of friends and family to make my dreams come true!

This weekend I am off to the beach for the last relaxing weekend of the summer. I haven't been since April...I'm probably Vitamin D deficient! Then the next weekend starts my "Wedding Season!!!" I am so excited to be a part of Brittany, Haley, Stevi, Leighton, and Maggie's weddings. Obviously, I love anything and everything that is weddings, so to see these beautiful events play out is so exciting to me.

Yesterday, I went to see where Stevi and Grant will be getting married. It is absolutely beautiful! With the fall breeze in the air, I can only imagine how great their weekend will turn out. More about this to come for sure, as we start nailing down all the details for the October wedding!

Getting closer...

Well, I'm getting closer and closer to having something tangible that everyone can see! My logo and website should be completed in the next couple of weeks. My awesome graphic designer, Laura, has been working really hard to come up with Swanky Social's branding. I'm so excited to see the final product, and I wanted to let yall have a sneak peek, but i'm a little blog-incompetent and can't figure out how to insert a pdf file....SO you will just have to wait!!!

So this week, I am on task to write all the copy for my website so we can have that up and running ASAP!

I also had some fun pictures taken by Rob Ingram (www.robingramphoto.com). He was awesome and got some great shots, or so he says =). I am not the 'modeling' type, but I think he got me actually smiling in a few. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

ALSO-- Big plans for an awesome event coming up!!! Stay tuned! Maybe YOU will get the invite =)

My Best Friend's Wedding....Showers!

The past few weeks have been full of wedding parties! I FINALLY have a few pictures to show everyone! We had so much fun planning and getting everything together for all of these parties. Thanks to EVERYONE that participated to make Leighton and Ryan's wedding showers so much fun!!

These are all shots from the Couple's Shower at The Johnson's house. Hosted by friends and family of the couple and the bridesmaids and groomsmen, the party turned out a success! We enjoyed BBQ from Full Moon (which is Leighton and Ryan's favorite food), and some homemade cole slaw and peach cobbler! Yummy! They had so much fun opening all their gifts for everyone to see!

Last Saturday was Leighton's Lingerie Shower, hosted by her Bridesmaids! It was at Holli Carr's house, and it couldn't have been more perfect! We had brunch at 10:00 am, which consisted of a delicious sausage, egg, and cheese casserole, yummy cheese grits, a fabulous fruit platter, and a very CUTE pumpkin bread cake! We enjoyed visiting and opening her gifts while reading questions that Ryan had answered about his and Leighton's relationship. It was a very intimate, yet fun, experience!

Everyone posing by the decorated mailbox! So cute!

In Business

Well...Here I am! Swanky Socials is in business! I think its been about 6 weeks since my mom and I decided I should pursue entreprenuership and start my own wedding and event planning business. And boy has a lot happened in the past 6 weeks. It all started with the idea of helping my best friend throughout her planning process for her Novemeber wedding, and committing to help someone else coordinate their wedding weekend in October. I then realized it was definitely something I should pursue. For the past 2 years, I have learned a lot working in the wedding and events industry and knew that I wanted to make a career of it. The Lord has blessed me with the ability to make this happen and the timing couldn't have been more perfect.

SO, here we are! I have a logo and website under construction, and a REAL, trusting, paying client! I am excited for the next 6 months in what we will learn and accomplish and looking forward to all the big events!

Not only am I planning several weddings and events, but I am also attending a good many. I am a bridesmaid in 3 weddings this fall and have several others to attend as well. This year, football season has turned into wedding season! But I couldn't be more excited, as it is a fabulous opportunity for me to learn and grow my business.

Stay posted for continual updates on what I am doing, AND a makeover to this blog will be coming soon as well (i am a beginner!!).
